Our story starts way back in 1994, when UEM first established TERAS to be its technology-focused solution provider. Within the first 5 years since the company founding, we implemented Malaysia’s first fully integrated Toll Collection System, enabling cashless payment at toll plaza across the industry, developed and deployed the SmartTAG payment solution into the market. TERAS has since grown to become the largest Toll Collection System provider in Malaysia, with over one billion trips per year powered by TERAS’ solutions.
